Day by Day itineraryDay 1: Trivandrum – Kovalam (20 Km / appx.30 min.)

Welcome to Kerala, popularly known as God’s own Country!!

As you arrive at Trivandrum airport or railway station, our pre-arranged vehicle would take you to your hotel in Kovalam. Check in at the hotel and get refreshed.

Located on the Arabian Sea, Kovalam is one of the most sought-after beach destinations in India.

Rest of time free for relaxing. Alternatively, you can go for a stroll on the nearby beach.

Stay at Kovalam.

Day 2: Sightseeing of Kovalam

Today after breakfast, you would be visiting famous beaches in Kovalam like Hawa beach, Ashoka beach, Light House beach etc.

You can also enjoy various water sports activities on the beaches such as Snorkelling, Parasailing, Wind Surfing and Back Water Cruise.(the cost of these activities may be around: Jet Skiing: Rs 450 onwards, Parasailing: Rs 1000 and Snorkelling: about Rs 2500 per dive.

Later, return back to your hotel.

Stay at Kovalam.

Day 3: Kovalam – Trivandrum – Kovalam (20 Km/ appx. 30 min. one way)

After breakfast, leave for a sightseeing tour of Trivandrum, the capital town of Kerala.

In Trivandrum, visit Raja Ravi Verma art gallery.Later visit Palace museum and famous Padmanabhaswami Mandir (wearing saree for ladies and dhoti for gentlemen is mandatory ).

.Later drive back to your hotel.

If time permits, you may stroll on the beach or you visit spa centres near to your hotels.

Overnight stay at Kovalam.

Day 4: Departure from Kovalam

It’s time to say goodbye to Kovalam with sweet memories.

Transfer to Trivandrum airport or railway station as per your onward connection.

I planned a South India tour from Chennai to Kochi. I asked from many different travel companies but I got the best and cheapest offer by 'Way to India'. That was two weeks travel plan. Thanks to Waytoindia for 10 day in Rajasthan- Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Mount Abu and Ahmedabad. Everything from pickup from Jaipur airport to drop at Ahmedabad airport was very smooth. The hotels booked in Jaipur and Udaipur were amazing. In Jaisalmer the camel ride and Jeep safari though a bit expensive was a good experience. The car and the driver for the entire 10 days was very good. Thanks to the driver Mahesh, who drove the 2 ladies for the entire 10 days safely and dropped us in time for the return flight to Bangalore.

Weather and Best time to Visit: Be it for beach hopping, sightseeing, or honeymooning, the best time to visit Kovalam is between November-February. The temperature at this time remains moderate with bright sunny mornings, and cool breezy nights. On your Kovalam tour package, you will observe the bright blue sky, inviting waters, and the presence of coconut trees in abundance. Winter means Christmas and it is celebrated in Kovalam with great fanfare. With a pleasant and temperate climate, the temperature varies between 16^oCto 34^oC in Kovalam during winters.

Puttu is an ideal dish for breakfast, best consumed with Kadala curry or red bananas. This dish is a steamed item made out of rice flour and layered with coconut. You can also try Appam for breakfast.
