State capital Shimla remains Himachal’s top jaunt for Indians, and that’s the first stop on the Kullu Manali tour package from Pune. Shimla has long captivated tourists with its great mix of modern trends with the marvellous mountains providing not just scenic relief, but ideal weather to live in 365 days every year. The winters do get their fair share of snow, but that’s when Shimla truly shines.

The call of the mountains leads us next to the Beas River Valley, home to Manali, a town that once marked the beginning of a trade route leading to Ladakh, and now is a hub for backpackers and tourists. Manali offers not just extravagant views of snow-clad Himalayan peaks, but a whole range of activities for both casual tourists and adventure sport enthusiasts as well.

Itinerary Details

Day by Day itineraryDay 1: Pune to Shimla (1807 km.)

Board a flight to Delhi from Pune. On arrival at Delhi airport, we would pick you up and head directly for Shimla by car. The 7-8 hour journey takes one from the heavily polluted plains through the mountains of Himachal Pradesh, and finally into the state’s most famous tourist destination; Shimla. Reach the hotel and rest to start a day to explore Shimla at its best.

Shimla’s importance dates back to the British Raj in India, when it was appointed the nation’s summer capital. Its highlights include Grand British architecture, lush green trees in the form of pine, oak, and deodar, and of course, the perennially pleasant weather conditions.

Day 2: Shimla Excursions

The second day is all about getting to know Shimla better, and experiencing some amazing places nearby.

The hill-station of Kufri is the first stop for the day. Located 13 km from Shimla, Kufri has a fair number of tourist attractions, with Mahasu Peak, Kufri Fun World, Chini Bunglow, and the Himalayan Wildlife Zoo being the most prominent of the lot.

Chail, another hill station located 44 km. from the state capital, has attractions such as the Chail Palace, Chail Sanctuary, Chail Gurdwara and a cricket ground. The cricket ground, situated at an altitude of 2250 m., happens to be the highest in the world.

Naldehra is the final stop on this busy day. Located 26 km. from Shimla, Naldehra’s prime attraction is its golf course, which is surrounded by lush greenery on all sides.

Shimla would be your overnight resting place, as you look forward to a trip to the Beas River Valley next.

Day 3: Shimla to Manali (249 km.)

The journey to Manali takes almost 7 hours from Shimla, but the winding roads and picturesque mountain views in all directions makes the journey anything but tiring. A popular detour on the Manali tour is a visit to the Gurdwara Manikaran Sahib, which is famous for its natural hot spring, and is known to have healing properties.

Continue towards Manali and spend the night in your Manali hotel.

Day 4: Manali – Solang Valley – Rohtang Pass – Manali

Our first stop on day 4 of the Kullu Manali tour package from Pune would be the Solang Valley. Located 12 km. from Shimla, the Solang Valley is a paradise for adventure sports enthusiasts. Paragliding, parachuting, skiing, and zorbing are common affairs here, and offer spectacular opportunities to experience adrenaline rush at its thrilling best.

Almost 51 km. from Manalilies the Rohtang Pass, a high altitude mountain pass situated at 3978 m, which would be our next stop.Rohtang Pass is undoubtedly the highlight of most Manali travel packages. The pass connects the Kullu Valley with the Lahaul and Spiti valleys in the northern part of the state. Despite heavy military presence in the area, Rohtang Pass is still frequented by many a tourist, and remains an integral part of Manali tour packages.

Head back to Manali and stay overnight as the Kullu Manali tour package from Pune enters its penultimate lap.

Day 5: Kullu Manali Sightseeing

Don’t let Manali’s ever-increasing commercial activity fool you. At its core, the town is deeply religious, and has some religious landmarks significant to Hinduism.

Not too dissimilar is the town of Kullu, located approximately 40 km. away. Both towns are incredibly picturesque, and have their fair share of religious importance as well. The ancient temples, coupled with the scenic beauty of the Himalayas, make Kullu and Manali dream destinations for travellers of all sorts.

Day 6: Manali to Chandigarh (310 km.)

The common capital of Punjab and Haryana is up next on the final lap of the Kullu Manali tour package from Pune. Chandigarh is one of the most respected cities in India thanks to its highly planned and structured development. Unlike many other cities, Chandigarh still boasts of great levels of greenery throughout the city and is heralded for its unique culture. Refresh yourself at the hotel, and get ready for taking a tour of the city.

Day 7: Chandigarh to Delhi

Head back to Delhi Airport or railway station, and that marks the end of the Kullu Manali tour package from Pune.

I planned a South India tour from Chennai to Kochi. I asked from many different travel companies but I got the best and cheapest offer by 'Way to India'. That was two weeks travel plan. We visited so many wonderful places and we got enough time for some individual program too. In the first week we visited the historical places like temples, museums and some beaches. In the second week we visited amazing natural attraction. All happened at exactly fixed itinerary. We traveled with a comfortable panoramic mini bus and the bus driver (Mr. Ram) was very kind and talented who could manage a good restaurant for dinner and lunch every day. The recommended hotels were correct and better than the chosen category. The connecting with 'Way to India' was a great experience for us and Mr Mohit was very pleasant and flexible for our request. All in all believe that this was the best choice for traveling. I'm sure we'll go back in India again because we found many kind friends at there and we would like to organize travel again by 'way to India'. thanks for all you have done for us thank you so much

I am so delighted and grateful that I found Way to India. I was nervous about doing a trip by myself, as a young woman, in the Himalayas and it was important for me to find a trusted company to arrange my trip. I searched long and hard but once I spoke with Mohit at Way to India, I knew I found the perfect company. Every question I had or issue I needed help with was handled immediately, proficiently, with excellent service that really went above and beyond. All of the people connected with the company that I met or spoke with are extremely helpful, friendly and an absolute pleasure to deal with. The itinerary created was just perfectly tailored for what I wanted and was done with a lot of thought and care. They stayed connected with me through the entire trip to make sure everything was going well. Really, I did not have to worry or think about anything. I will use them every time I come back to India! I highly recommend to all my friends and family and to anyone who wants a memorable visit to India.   Aditi Banerjee
