River Attarum after following a mesmerizing journey through Yelagiri Hills rolls down in the form of Jalagamparai Waterfalls from the height of about 15 m. The result is a melodious and eye-pleasing cascade amidst dense forests that create an aesthetic treat for the eyes. As per the popular belief, bathing in its water can cure many skin issues, as the river before falling down gets infused with medicinal qualities of the herbal plants it passes through.

Like most of the attractions at Yelagiri hill station, these waterfalls can also be approached via trekking routes of about an hour. Fabulous vistas of nature unfold as one conquers these routes and reach the enthralling destination. An added attraction at the waterfalls is the temple of Lord Murugan, constructed in the shape of a Shiva Lingam. Nature-lovers, trekkers and lovebirds can find unparalleled solitude at this location. Avoid visiting the falls during summers as they dry up due to lack of rainfall.
