Resembling Ladakh in appearance, Losar presents its visitors scintillating views of snow-capped mountains, gorgeous vistas and wide stretched serenity. Famed for its virgin beauty, the village is located at a height of 13,400 feet.
Offering numerous lovely picnic spots in vicinity like Chandratal and the Moon Lake, Losar is a visual delight for visitors in love with nature. The accommodation options are rare but good in the Spiti Valley.

Connectivites

Road: Lahaul is on the route to Leh along the National Highway from Manali. Buses are available from Shimla, Chandigarh, Manali and other places nearby Lahaul and Spiti. Other than buses, rented cars, private cars and jeeps are also available for reaching the village.

Railway: Joginder Nagar (located about 308 km.) is the nearest railhead to reach Losar. Chandigarh and Shimla are also two broad gauge railheads for Losar. Direct buses and taxis are available from the station.

Airway: Bhuntar Airport (located about 195 km.) is the nearest domestic airport to reach Losar. For international flights, Delhi is the nearby airport. Tourists can book either a bus or take a cab or jeep from the airport.
