Varanasi Tour

Situated on the banks of the River Ganges in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh,Varanasi,commonly known as Banares or Banaras.

One of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and one of the most holiest of cities in India.

This tour takes you to a voyage par excellence through the city of Holy Ganges,City of Lord Vishwanath (Lord Shiv) and the city of Life & Death

Itinerary Details

Day by Day itineraryDay 1: Delhi - Varanasi

This morning, pickup from the hotel and transfer to Airport to board the flight to Varanasi.

On arrival, meet and assist by our representative and transfer to hotel.

Later proceed for a city tour of Varanasi covering some famous temples in Varanasi like Durga temple, Vishwanath temple and Sankat Mochan temple.

In the evening enjoy the boat cruise on the Ganges. Watch Hindu devotees performing the evening “Aarti Puja" with lighted lamps.

Return back to hotel in the evening for dinner & Overnight in Varanasi.

Day 2: Varanasi [Sarnath & Banaras Hindu University]

After enjoying breakfast in the hotel proceed to Sarnath.

One of the holiest Buddhist sites in the world, Sarnath is where Buddha preached his first Sermon in 590 B.C.

Also visit Sarnath Museum - An excellent collection of Buddhist art and sculptures found at the site.

Later return back to Varanasi to visit one of the oldest Universities in the world, the Banaras Hindu University. Also visit to Bharat Mata Temple.

Return back to hotel in the evening. Enjoy dinner & Overnight stay at hotel in Varanasi.

Day 3: Varanasi - Delhi

After a leisurely breakfast in the hotel, visit the markets famous for Banaras Silks.

In the afternoon transfer to Airport to connect the flight to Delhi.

On arrival at Delhi, transfer to hotel/International Airport to board the flight for onward destination.

Thanks to Waytoindia for 10 day in Rajasthan- Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Mount Abu and Ahmedabad. Everything from pickup from Jaipur airport to drop at Ahmedabad airport was very smooth. The hotels booked in Jaipur and Udaipur were amazing. In Jaisalmer the camel ride and Jeep safari though a bit expensive was a good experience. The car and the driver for the entire 10 days was very good. Thanks to the driver Mahesh, who drove the 2 ladies for the entire 10 days safely and dropped us in time for the return flight to Bangalore.
