Haldighati

Afterarrival at Udaipur, escape on a quick drive from Udaipur to Kumbhalgarh via Haldighati, the“renowned arena of a famous battle.” The legendary mountain-pass in theAravalli Range gets its name from the region’s yellow-coloured soil. Haldighatiexudes the air of chivalry and valour with which Maharana Pratap fought thebattle. In 1997, Maharana Pratap National Memorial was built on the site, dedicated to the Rajput King and his loyal horse, Chetak, who lost his lifeduring the war.
