It is held in the month of January, wherein you can see the desert's ships in the historical city of Bikaner. Bikaner Camel Festival starts each year with much fanfare in the backdrop of the famous Junagarh Fort of Bikaner.A colourful procession with locals adorned with equally colourful attires ride the beautifully decorated camels.After the procession, the festivities of Bikaner Camel Festival shift to the famous Polo ground where several interesting events are organised such as the best camel breed competition, the tug-of-war contest between the indian and foreign guests, camel dances and acrobatics. In the Bikaner Camel Festival, camels adorning colourful saddle cloths display amazing footwork in tandem, dancing gracefully and perfectly to the slightest direction of their trainers.
