It is the nature’s creativity that a headland can resemble a dolphin’s nose. Visakhapatnam offers the opportunity to savour the beauty of this nature’s creation called Dolphin Nose (also called Black Mores’ Hill). About 174 m. high and 358 m. above sea level, this stunning tourist attraction is the harbour’s natural defence against violent sea waves. It also accommodates a powerful light house that escorts ships up to 65 km. in the sea. The lighthouse also boasts of commanding views of the Bay of Bengal. Visitors to the place get some great opportunities to shoot the beautiful surroundings in camera. Ross Hill nearby is an added attraction. Depicting religious tolerance India is known for, there are three holy sites dedicated to different religions near the headland. These include Lord Venkateshwara Hindu Temple, Ishq Madina Muslim Dargah and St. John’s Church. Savouring nature’s unblemished beauty from all these spots can keep you engaged for hours.
