Blessed with serene natural beauty, Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary is home to variety of vegetations including tropical evergreen and semi-evergreen, moist deciduous forests and diverse plantations. Wildlife lovers can spot animals like tiger, leopard, porcupine, squirrel, elephant, gaur, deer, civet, macaque and others. The sanctuary is inhabited by numerous endangered bird species including Niligiri wood pigeon, Malabar pied hornbill, Ceylon frogmouth and more. Reptiles, fishes and amphibians can also be spotted here. The sanctuary also offers thrilling trekking adventures to a number of amazing places. Located on the slopes of Western Ghats, it is no less than a paradise for the visitors. Warnings Plastics, polythene, smoking items and liquor are strictly prohibited. Don’t make noise and don’t litter the place. Tourists are advised not to wear white or dark shade clothes.
