An ornamental garden adjoining the Krishna Raja Sagara Dam in Mysore, Brindavan Gardens compulsorily attracts every visitor to the city. Designed in a terraced layout, the garden draws inspiration from the world-famous Shalimar Gardens of Kashmir. The main attractions of the garden are the musical fountains and lightings in the evening that are exceedingly eye-pleasing and engrossing. Foliage plants, flowering plants, gazebos and an adjoining fruit orchard are other prime highlights. One can also enjoy boating at a lake inside the gardens. It is a great idea to enjoy the postcard views of the whole garden from the southernmost end. Walking across the garden is one amazing experience especially for the first-time visitors. Warnings: Video shooting is strictly prohibited. Don’t litter the gardens with waste and leftover food.
