Irpu Falls

Irpu falls are located on the Brahmagiri Range and are also known by the name Lakshmana Tritha Falls. According to legends, Lord Rama and Lord Lakshmana visited this area in search of Goddess Sita. Lord Rama Felt thirsty and so Lord Lakshmana shot an arrow and created these falls. This is a very famous tourist attraction as well as a pilgrimage spot for many Hindus. It attracts a large number of pilgrims during the Shivaratri festival. It is a visual treat for the tourists to see the magnificent 20 meters waterfall and experience a back thumping massage when under it. The most exciting part is the small trek through the forests to reach the waterfall. It is a refreshing place that offers beautiful and serene natural beauty. The trekking area could be a little slippery and therefore one must ensure to wear trekking shoes or sneakers to walk comfortably.
