Hadima Devi temple is one of the chief important places to visit in Manali because of its archeological and historical significance. This ancient cave temple is dedicated to Goddess Hadimba, wife of Bhim from Indian epic Mahabharata. It is believed that during Mahabharata’s era, Hidimba stayed at this place and did her meditation to eventually attain the status of a Goddess. The intricate carving on the door and the antique architecture of this temple is simply spectacular. The temple is surrounded by mountains with an excellent view which makes it a perfect picturesque location. The atmosphere is generally cool, quiet and soothing. At a walking distance from this temple is the shrine of Ghatotkacha, Goddess Hidimba’s son. It is a beautiful place to visit for all nature lovers.
