Anand Milk Union Limited (AMUL) means ‘amulya’ in Sanskrit, which signifies ‘purity.’ The reason behind establishing Amul Dairy and Chocolate Factory was to curb the exploitation and adulteration practiced by the middlemen. Started from a small town of Gujarat, Amul Dairy has extended over International Market like Mauritius, Singapore, Hong Kong, China,Japan, and Australia. Crowned as one of the largest milk producers of the world, Amul Dairy is the biggest and the celebrated vegetarian cheese brand of the world. Renowned as the largest food chain of India, Amul Dairy is the leading producers of chocolates, milk powder, cheese, and milk, milk products. While on the factory trip, you can also visit some of the other interesting nearby attractions viz. Hanuman Temple, Dakor Temple and local market.
