Suketi Fossil Park, which is also known as Shivalik Fossil Park, pioneered a new concept in Asia. It is distinguished to be the first fossil park to have been built right at the site where fossils of pre-historic animals were unearthed. The top attractions of the park are the life size models of the animals whose skeletons and fossils were discovered in the region. Made of fibre reinforced plastic, these realistic models installed amidst the lush green forest area are great to explore. Models include those of grand elephant, giant land tortoise, hippopotamus with six incisors, giraffid, crocodilia and sabre toothed tiger. The fossils obtained from the site are preserved at the nearby museum which also houses charts and paintings related to the discoveries. The fossils at the museum are more than 8.5 million years old. The park also boasts of natural beauty in the form of sandstone and clay rocks and luxuriant forests.
