Kesarval Springs

Among the many hidden surprises of nature at Goa are the Kesarval Springs that are fondly tagged as the natural spa. Flocks of tourists from all age groups visit this amazing place surrounded by dense tropical forests and flawless beauty of nature. It is firmly believed that the medicinal properties of the water can cure skin and eye related ailments. The spring gets its name from ‘kesar val’ which in the Konkani language means ‘eagle’. Only few decades ago, hundreds of eagles would have their colony at a nearby location. Visitors prefer to visit the springs during monsoons when they turn into small waterfall and boast of crystal clean waters. Bathing in the relaxing water of the spring is a favourite activity among the visitors. Considering its growing importance as a tourist attraction, the local authorities replaced the stone-embedded trail with steps, making the place easily accessible.
