Built in Tudor architecture style, the palace is a magnificent construction of wood and it boasts of mesmerizing paintings, carvings and adornments. The use of blue ceramics and granite add worth to the palace’s splendour. Ballroom, courtyard, fortified towers, floral motifs, vintage furniture, well-maintained gardens and many other highlights can keep one spellbound. Another attraction of the palace is the stuffed head of a real elephant which was hunted by the erstwhile ruler of the region. Palace grounds are the well-known venues for holding music concerts and entertainment events. Many internationally famed artists regularly perform here. By air: Bangalore International Airport caters to the domestic and international air travellers and is located about 32 km. away from the palace. Taxis and cabs are available at the aerodrome to reach the palace.
By rail: Bangalore has three railway stations named Majestic, Cantonment and Yeshwanthpur, each located close to the palace. Those travelling by train can easily access the palace from cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai.
By road: Bangalore is a major destination on the road map of South India. State run ordinary and deluxe buses connect this metropolitan city with Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Goa, Cochin and many other destinations. Private vehicles and taxis can also be used for the journey. Local buses, taxis, auto-rickshaws and cabs within the city can help you reach the palace.
