Lakshmi Narayan Temple

The Lakshmi Narayan temple also known as the Birla Temple is situated at the Arera Hills, the highest point in Bhopal. The temple is dedicated to Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth and her husband Vishnu. There is also a separate shrine of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati within the temple complex. The spectacular temple complex is set in a landscaped garden, which makes it a good spot for relaxing and for spiritual contemplation. The temple is also known as Birla Mandir as it was built by the industrial family of Birlas. The building has an ornate façade and a classic charm.
