Osian Temples

Osian Temples near Jodhpur (about 67 km. away) are no less than masterstrokes on the desert canvas of Rajasthan. Among the Hindu temples at Osian, the Sachiya Mata Temple has some eye-pleasing sculptures to its credit. Another popular attraction is the group of three Harihara Temples dedicated to the combined form of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. Surya Temple dedicated to Sun God houses a grand idol of the god. Pippala Devi Temple, Vishnu Temple and Shiva Temple are also worth visiting. Many of these temples exhibit erotic sculptures and are thus termed as the ‘Khajuraho or Rajasthan’.
