Arrive at the only airport in Ladakh at Leh, where our tour representative will greet you. Transfer to the hotel and relax before the lunch is served. Spend full day taking rest to accustom yourself to the high altitude sickness.
Enjoy early morning breakfast before we take you for full day sightseeing in and around Leh. First of all, visit the royal Shey Palace which is famous for the 36 ft. high gold-plated copper statue of Lord Buddha. Next, you will explore Thiksey Monastery which is located beautifully on an island mountain. Get fascinated by the 12-storey structure and its architecture. From here, you will visit Hemis Monastery, probably the most remarkable of all in Ladakh. Enjoy the location amidst towering peaks and the serene and spiritual environment. Discover the beautiful murals and Buddhist artefacts at Hemis, which is also the wealthiest monastery in the region. Get back to the hotel and have dinner.
Get ready after breakfast and visit the first attractions of the day, the captivating Stok Palace. Get amazed by a visit to the museum within the palace, which boasts of splendid silk paintings called thangkas. You will also visit Shanti Stupa (Peace Pagoda), a striking white structure with inimitable backdrop scenes. Beautiful reliefs featuring the images of meditating Buddha mesmerize the visitors. Later, discover the old world charm of Leh by exploring its streets and bazaars. You will be delighted to meet and watch the local people, clad in ethnic clothes and jewellery and endlessly smiling while selling vegetables and other items. From here, visit the magnificent Leh Palace which is perched on a hilltop and overlooks the entire region. Enjoy some breathtaking views from the top, before returning to the hotel. Have dinner before going to sleep.
Today, you will find yourself at the world’s highest motor-able road at the mountain pass of Khardungla (at 5,600 m.). Finish breakfast and begin this wonderful journey. Feel like being at the top of the world as you savour the unbelievable sights of snow-clad mountains and forests. Get back to the hotel after noon and take some rest. For the remaining day, you can indulge in shopping of your own and get back to the hotel at the end.
Have breakfast and start the day-long excursion to Alchi, which is dotted with some very pristine temples and monasteries amidst breathtaking natural settings. Start the sightseeing with a visit to Alchi Gompa. The complex consists of many small and big temples, each having its own charm. You will be visiting the temples like Rinchen Lhakhang, Jamyang Lhakhang, Sumtsag Lhakhang and more. Discover the magnetic paintings at Alchi Monastery and get fascinated by the amazing peace spread all over. Get back to your hotel at Leh late evening.
Today, you will bid farewell to Ladakh and its outstanding charm. We will transfer you to the Leh Airport for boarding the scheduled flight to Delhi. The tour and services end here.
