Siddhivinayak Mumbai: what you need in 2026

• Your ordinary darshan of Lord Siddhivinayak is free and open to all.
• The temple is very busy, above all on Tuesdays, the day of Ganesha, and on Ganesh festival days, so the queue can be long.
• Going early on a weekday is the calmest time.

The trust runs its own online booking through its official site and app, for poojas such as the Ashirvachan pooja, for a personalised darshan, and for donations. Many private websites advertise a paid "VIP darshan" for Siddhivinayak. The temple entry is free, and the trust does not sell a general paid line jump in the way these sites suggest. The temple opens early in the morning and stays open through the day into the night, with the aartis at set times, and it keeps longer hours on Tuesdays and festival days. The exact hours can shift, and the trust sets them, so check the official site before you go. The early morning and the late evening are the calmest times for darshan.

You can visit all year. The temple is busiest on Tuesdays, on the Angarki Chaturthi, a Tuesday that falls on the fourth day of the moon, and during Ganesh Chaturthi in the monsoon, usually August or September, when Mumbai fills with Ganesha worship. The cooler months suit the city trip. If you visit at these peaks, reach very early and be ready for a long queue.

The temple is at Prabhadevi in central Mumbai, close to the Dadar railway station on the local lines, and a short ride from the city centre. The nearest airport is Mumbai. You reach the temple by taxi, local train to Dadar, or the metro, then a short walk. Pair it with the Mahalakshmi temple and Haji Ali on a Mumbai temple round.

Carry a photo identity for a pooja booking, and a passport if you come from abroad.
