Arrive at Bangalore Airport and transfer to the hotel accompanying our tour representative. Take some rest and begin the city sightseeing. Visit Vidhana Soudha, the very charming State Legislative Assembly building (closed on Sunday and public holidays). Later visit Cubbon Park with multiple attractions including Dancing Musical Fountain, Aquarium, museums, art galleries and many statues (many attractions closed on Monday, Thursday and second Tuesday). Visit Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens, known for glasshouse, lake, aquarium and rich flora (opens 09:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m. entry fee INR 10). Overnight at Bangalore.
After breakfast, visit Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum where numerous exhibition galleries and science projects are on display (10:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m., entry fee INR 40). Explore the city’s rich heritage at Tipu’s Fort (10:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m., entry fee INR 5 for Indians and INR 100 for foreigners, Sunday closed) and Bull Temple (07:00 a.m.-08:30 p.m.). Spend some great moments at Ulsoor Lake (06:00 a.m. to 08:00 p.m., Wednesday closed). Overnight at Bangalore.
Join the road trip to Hassan after breakfast and make a stop at Shravanbelagola on the way. Enjoy the sight of the world’s highest monolithic structure, the 58 ft. high statue of Lord Gommateshwara (prefer to dress up decently at this pilgrimage site). Carry on with the journey and transfer to the hotel on arrival in Hassan. The district has some enchanting specimen of Hoysala Temple Architecture scattered all over. Visit the Lord Vishnu’s temples, Chennakesava at Belur and Hoysaleswara at Halebid. The stunning architectural elements, sculptures and decorations are sure to blow your mind (dress up modestly). Overnight at Hassan.
Have breakfast and leave for Madikeri, the capital of the charming hill station Coorg. Drive past the coffee and spice plantations and breathe in the fresh mountain breeze as you transfer to the hotel. After some rest, visit Madikeri Fort, known for its masonry elephants, temple and church (10:00 a.m. to 05:30 p.m., Monday closed). Later visit Raja’s Seat, a spectacular sunset point featuring a graceful pavilion and toy train ride (05:30 a.m. to 08:00 p.m., entry fee INR 5). Spend the remaining day at leisure. Overnight at Madikeri.
Start the journey to Bandipur after breakfast. A part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, the park is well-known for its greenery and treasures of wildlife featuring tigers, Asian elephants, leopards, wild dogs and many varieties of reptiles and birds. Check in at the hotel on arrival and take some rest. Join the evening safari (03:00 p.m. to 05:00 p.m.) in jeep (INR 700 per jeep for Indians and INR 1,500 per jeep for foreigners) or in the forest department mini bus (INR 100 per head) at Kabini Tiger Reserve inside the park (you must accompany a forest department guide for which you must pay additional fee). Overnight at Bandipur.
You may join the early morning safari (06:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m.) or relax at the hotel watching the wildness spread all around. Get out for another safari trip in the evening. Boat safari can also be joined (subject to availability). Be ready to capture the remarkable beauty of the jungles and its denizens. Overnight at Bandipur.
Wake up to the breakfast and get ready for a memorable elephant ride (INR 50 per head). You may also get the opportunity to enjoy a coracle ride which is subject to availability. Explore the protected area once again on the evening jeep safari and enjoy the final rendezvous with the amazing wildlife. Overnight at Bandipur.
Get ready for an exciting part of the trip as you drive to Mysore after breakfast. The golden capital of Wodeyar Dynasty is among the best tourist places in India, featuring grand palaces, beautiful temples, amazing museums and art galleries and elegant gardens. On arrival, visit the Goddess Chamundi’s Temple located atop Chamundeshwari Hills offering outstanding views of the entire city. Check in at the hotel and take rest. Later, explore Mysore Palace, the magnificent structure with striking architecture and resplendent interiors (10:00 a.m.-05:30 p.m., fee INR 40 for Indians and INR 200 for foreigners). Later, visit Sri Jayachamarajendra Art Gallery (open 08:30 a.m.-05:30 p.m., fee INR 20) with a superlative display of heart-warming paintings. Spend remaining day at leisure and you may visit the Devaraja Market in the market (it is a great experience to wander through the rows of fruits, vegetable and spice sellers). Overnight at Mysore.
Drive to the island town of Srirangapatna after breakfast. Pray at the important Hindu pilgrimage site of Lord Vishnu’s Ranganathaswamy Temple (foreigners not allowed to enter few sections). From here, get ready for an exciting birding trip at Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary (08:30 a.m.-06:00 p.m., INR 50 for Indians and INR 200 for foreigners) where boating rides can also be enjoyed at the additional fees. Drive back to Mysore and spend the unforgettable evening at the magical Brindavan Gardens (10:00 a.m.-09:30 p.m., INR 15/5 for adults/children). The highlight is the colourful fountain display in the evening. Overnight at Mysore.
Gear up for an exhilarating tryst with adventure as we drive you to Bheemeshwari after breakfast. A witness to the meandering journey of River Cauvery (Kaveri), the place is home to a wildlife sanctuary and many fishing camps. On the way, visit Somanathapur Temple (09:00 a.m. to 05:30 p.m., INR 5 for Indians, INR 10 for foreigners, INR 25 for video camera and additional charges for parking). Flaunting the brilliant Hoysala Architecture, the temple will leave you awestruck with its beauty. Also stop at the captivating Shivasamudram Falls (98 m. high, accessible by descending 150 steps), the mind-boggling craft of nature. Reach the Finishing Camp on the bank of River Cauvery and check in. Get out and experience the striking facets of nature and some wonderful activities. Overnight at Bheemeshwari.
Have breakfast and drive to Bangalore. Transfer directly to the airport or the railway station for the journey back to home. The tour ends.
