McLeodganj is a beautiful and popular suburb of Dharamsala, situated in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. This lovely tourist destination has an elevation of almost 6,831 feet from sea-level. Majority of the population here includes Tibetan refugees and members of the Tibetan government (in exile). There are several stores selling handicraft items all over Mcleodganj.

By Rail: At a distance of about 89 km., Pathankot railway station is the nearest broad gauge railhead other than Kangra (35 km.) and Nagrota (43 km.) meter gauge stations located near McLeodganj. By Road: State buses and Luxury buses are easily available for this place from nearby major cities. By Air: Dharamsala airport located within a range of 10 km. from McLeodganj is the nearest airport. Mcleodganj is a tiny town and tourists can actually cover the whole area on foot. A good travel guide can easily help tourists on sight-seeing tours. There are several modes of transportation such as buses and auto rickshaws. It is connected by road through buses that ply on hourly basis for a nominal ticket rate.
