The scenic town and hill station in the Nashik district of Maharashtra, Igatpuri has developed to be a popular tourist spot. This charming place is located at an altitude of 1,900 feet in the Western Ghats. The undulating hilly terrain with cascading waterfalls and dense forests is a real treat to the eyes. Nearest railway station is Kasara (about 18 km.). Kasara to Igatpuri is about 30 minutes by taxi and the fare is about Rs. 300. By Road: Igatpuri is connected to all neighbouring cities by Maharashtra Road Transport Corporation. Regular buses connect Nashik, Mumbai and Kasara. Tourist bus fare from, Mumbai to Kasara is about Rs. 500. Auto rickshaw and buses are the available forlocal transport in Igatpuri.
