Travel Tips on Rohtang Pass
Generally, Rohtang Pass is open between May and November months. Entire stretch of 50 Kms drive from Manali to Rohtang is beautiful with several activities such as paragliding, ATV bikes and Skiing to enjoy on the way. If you really wish to enjoy, set out early morning from Manali for Rohtang Pass so that you can view the beautiful sunrise on your way to Rohtang Pass.
Gulaba at 9400 ft. is the snow view point that remains open throughout the year for tourists. Thus, even in case you are not able to visit Rohtang, you should be able to reach upto Gulaba to experience snow. National Green Tribunal (NGT) had recently imposed a restriction on number of petrol vehicles that can go to Rohtang pass to 500 petrol vehicles a day. Please ensure that your vehicle has proper permission to go upto Rohtang Pass, before you leave for Rohtang Pass.
