Bustling with life and tourist activities throughout the day, Gandhi Chowk deserves to occupy the centre stage of any trip to Dalhousie. Also known as the G.P.O. because of Dalhousie’s post office located here, the place offers some exclusive views of the mountains and the valleys. The most popular attraction of the place is the Tibetan Market, where interesting handmade items like carpets, rugs, clothes, jewellery and handicrafts are sold.
Dalhousie’s most popular and the oldest eateries and restaurants are located at Gandhi Chowk. Many other exciting attractions of Dalhousies, including Panchpula and the old Church are located in the close proximity. A reading room and a library at the chowk are also frequently visited by the tourists. Visit the place in the evening and you will experience myriad of activities going all around.
