Assam Tour Package

Assam Tour Package takes you to Assam, the land of Brahmaputra Valley and Barak Valley.

Assam is a beautiful and diverse state with an incredible range of cultures and landscapes situated in the North East of India. It's borders are well connected with the North and East with the Kingdom of Bhutan and Arunachal Pradesh. In his south lies Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram. Assam is in fact one of the seven sister states of north east India.

Assam Tour Package starts upon your arrival at Guwahati , the capital of Assam state and involves a visit to Jorhat, Sibsagar and Kaziranga

In fact one of the most prominent feature of Assam Tour Package is a visit to the UNESCO's World Heritage Site - Kaziranga National Park which is famous for one horned Rhinos.

Itinerary Details

Day by Day itineraryDay 1: Arrive Guwahati

Arrival at Guwahati, meet with our representative and transfer to the hotel.

On arrival, check in at hotel. Enjoy dinner & Overnight stay in Guwahati.

Day 2: Guwahati - Jorhat [270 Kms]

After an early breakfast in the hotel, drive to Jorhat, the tea-capital of Assam.

On arrival at Jorhat, check into the hotel. In the afternoon take a walk in a nearby village to see the simplicity of their lives and return back to hotel in the evening for dinner & Overnight stay in Jorhat

Day 3: Jorhat - Sibasagar - Jorhat

After an early breakfast in the hotel transfer to Sibsagar to visit remains of Ahom Kingdom who ruled Assam for 500 years before giving in to British.

Later in the afternoon visit to Tai Ahom Museum and the Maidams (Mummy like structures) of Ahom kings Burial grounds at Charaideo.

Return back to Jorhat in the evening for dinner & Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4: Jorhat – Toklai - Kaziranga Natioanl Park

After a healthy breakfast in the hotel, visit to Toklai Research Station to know everything and anything about tea-plantation.

In the afternoon drive to Kaziranga which is about 90 Kms away from here, on arrival check in at tourist Lodge.

Enjoy dinner & Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

Day 5: Kaziranga

On this day start your tour early in the morning (5:30 am) explore central Range of Kaziranga National Park on Elephant Safari.

While returning explore the eastern range on a jeep safari. Return to Jungle resort for lunch and then proceed to Western Range of Kaziranga National Park on jeep.

Return back to resort in the evening for dinner & Overnight stay.

Day 6: Kaziranga - Guwahati [220 Kms/5 hrs]

After an early breakfast in the Jungle resort, transfer to Guwahati. On arrival, check into the hotel.

Enjoy a cruise ride on Brahmaputra River. Dinner & Overnight at hotel.

Day 7: Guwahati Depart

After finishing the breakfast on time depart for your onward destination.

I planned a South India tour from Chennai to Kochi. I asked from many different travel companies but I got the best and cheapest offer by 'Way to India'. That was two weeks travel plan. Thanks to Waytoindia for 10 day in Rajasthan- Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Mount Abu and Ahmedabad. Everything from pickup from Jaipur airport to drop at Ahmedabad airport was very smooth. The hotels booked in Jaipur and Udaipur were amazing. In Jaisalmer the camel ride and Jeep safari though a bit expensive was a good experience. The car and the driver for the entire 10 days was very good. Thanks to the driver Mahesh, who drove the 2 ladies for the entire 10 days safely and dropped us in time for the return flight to Bangalore.
