Shrine of Baba Reshi is a 500 year old mosque dedicated to Baba Zainuddin Reshi, an old Muslim scholar in the kingdom of Kashmir’s ruler in the 15th century. It is believed that this loyal nobleman was a saint and helped his fellow men by performing miracles to fulfill their wishes.
This shrine is located in the middle of the natural Himalayan beauty which adds serenity and tranquility to this place. The construction of this place is very old with the domination of Mughal and Persian architecture. The huge green lawn in front of the shrine can accommodate at least a thousand devotees. This mosque is especially famous for granting wishes. It is believed that the shrine helps in fulfilling the wishes of its devotees.
The place is situated at a height of 2000 meters and some other tourist destinations around this place are Gulmarg Biosphere Reserve, Durang, Ninge Nallah and Outer Circle Walk.
