The dramatically crowned Rocky Mountains, refreshing blue water, Picture-perfect gompas (Tibetan Buddhist monasteries), pearly white Stupas topped with numerous mantra-inscribed pebbles is what Ladakh all about.

When you are in a place blessed with amazingly beautiful landscapes, how can you stop yourself from capturing the picturesque beauty of nature in your camera for lifetime memories? Can you? Of course not!! So here we are with various photo tour packages covering various picturesque destinations of Leh Ladakh.

Day 1: Arrival at Leh: Starting with an early morning flight over the Himalayas to Leh, the journey begins to the beautiful landscapes of Ladakh. Followed by a transfer at the hotel for rest it’s time for a visit to attractions like Thiksey, Leh palace, Shey, Shanti Stupa that overlooks the Indus valley, till its sunset. Further at night in the hotel will be a short brief about the next day program.

Day 2: Drive through Leh to Nubra valley: The second day, catch the route to wonderful scenic valley from Leh to the Khardung la pass (18,380 ft) that is the highest motorable pass in the world. Travelling through the pass will offer stunning views of the Zanskar range of mountains as well as the Saser Massif. Further will head for the Nubra Valley that lays at an altitude of 10,000ft and nearby areas of the Shyok River which feeds this valley. Further it will be time to join the day’s interactive session in the camps set up.

Day 3: Drive through Nubra – Pangong Lake (via Warila pass): The third day travel is ahead to the 64 KM long Pangong Lake that is at 4,280m and only 154 KM away from Leh. Apart from enjoying the sheer beauty of the river the 6,500m peaks all round offers a beautiful sight of the light plays gently to change the hues of the lake. Further it’s time for joining evening session with the photography mentor. Then after having dinner and continuing with the session with the mentor, enjoy the evening view of lake. Further take a sleep in the nice camp accommodation located about 13 km short of the Pangong Lake.

Day 4: Visit to Pangong lake -Tsomoriri lake(via Tsaga la): The 4th Day is the day to travel at the Tsomoriri which is a breeding ground to a large number of bird species and is located high on the Changtang plateau at a height of 14,934ft. After this it’s again a time for a session with the mentor to share more modules with all to achieve great photos during this journey. Then enjoy the scenic beauty all around you and make a rest for the night at another camp stay.

Day 5: Tsomoriri Lake to Tsokar – Leh (via Taglang La): In the morning after the sunrise it’s time for leaving the Tsomoriri Lake for the journey back to Leh. On the way visit the famous Hemis monastery. Then spend the evening at the hotel, share your experiences with all and continue with the sessions till it’s time to sleep.

Day 6: Two days of hike from Zingchen to Rumbak: On the day 6, walk for a small hike from Zingchen to Rumbak (about 5 hours). Then take breakfast drive to Zingchen and further walk towards Rumbak (a straight and comfortable walkway). Then leaving the Zingchen village, enter Hemis National park that is a habitat of the Snow leopard as well as Mountain Ungulates. Then at Rumbak, rest at the camp set up and get ready for another interactive session.

Day 7: Rumbak to Zingchen (same path back): After having lunch tourists would walk back from Rumbak to Zingchen. Vehicles will be arranged to pick up from Zingchen to Leh. Enjoy watching beautiful valley widen as tourists arrive Rumbak village. Get the most out of the hiking time as the mentor gives instructions, tips and shares his knowledge with the participants about landscapes and photography techniques. After this tourists are set off on the vehicles back to for their overnight stay in Leh.

Day 8: Leh to Lamayuru (visit Alchi Likir): After having breakfast tourists are set off for Alchi. En route they shall see the jagged skyline of the 15th century Basgo Fort. It is located in the village of Basgo. Enjoy eye-pleasing sights all around and fun-filled practice session. The first location for today is Likir monastery. Photography is not permitted in some darkest recesses for fear of waking up wrathful deities. Tourist would enjoy here amazing view of wheat colored millet fields of Likir village.

Eighth day also covers next destination i.e. Lamayuru monastery. They can stand dramatically in stunning moonlike landscape with a medieval village site out of the rocky hillside below. The ascent to Lamayuru Gompa is simply an extraordinary experience. Visit the magnificent monastery and drive back to Leh at night.

Day 9: Departure from Leh: Tourist comes to the concluding day of the weeklong tour. They bid adieu to one of the most scenic landscapes place of India. This trip would give tourists more than just the memories. They will take back loads of learning, photographs that will be the lasting memories.

Breakup of the tour price:

  • Assistance on reaching at Leh airport
  • 3 star hotel Accommodation on twin/ double sharing basis.
  • Camps at Nubra, Tsomoriri, Pangong and Rumbak.
  • Meal Programme – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner in the 3 star hotel accommodation in Leh. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will also be provided during the camps sessions.
  • Return to Leh Airport
  • Round trip transfers assistance with all sightseeing tours by MUVs as per the tour plan (3 tourists per vehicle).
  • Fee charges for Ladakh hills development and Inner line permit.

Exclusions:

  • Airfare and airport tax.
  • Government Service Tax at 3.5%.
  • All types of Personal Expenses and Optional Tours as well as Extra Meals Ordered.
  • Anything not particularly mentioned in the break ups list above.
  • The Services of the vehicle is excluded on leisure days & after finishing the sightseeing tour as per the Itinerary.
  • Binocular fee, Camera fee, Guide fee & any Monument entrances.
  • Travel and Medical insurance.
  • Additional costs due to road blocks or flight cancellation etc.
  • Overhead expenses due to any change in the stay/ itinerary on account of flight cancellation for bad weather, roadblocks, ill health and/or any incidents beyond control.

  • The price mentioned above is subject to normal, favourable conditions in the desired destination. The tour management team cannot be held responsible for any unfavourable situations that might occur during the tour.
  • In case of inclement weather or unfavourable situations the tour operator shall make every possible effort to come up with alternate plans and try to offer the best of comforts available during such conditions.

  • Overnight stays in Leh will be arranged in the 3 star hotels.
  • Camping at tents (provided by the tour operator) at Nubra Valley, Tsomoriri Lake, Pangong Lake, and Rumbak (on hiking).
