After arriving at Chennai, you will be greeted with traditional vermillion and garland on arrival at Chennai Airport. Transfer to Hotel. In the afternoon go for a sight seeing of Chennai city including a visit to Marina Beach, Kapaleeswar Temple, Santhome Cathedral,Govt. Museum and Art Gallery. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Drive to Mahabalipuram via Kancheepuram. At Kancheepuram famous for Silk Sarees and temples,visit the temples and Silk Weaving centres. On arrival at Manhabalipuram check in at beach resort. At Mahabalipuram visit Five Rathas ( Chariots) Shore temple, Arjuna's penance and Krishna Mandapram all built in the Dravidian style of temple architecture which dates back to 7th century AD. Overnight stay at the resort.
Drive to Pondicherry the erstwhile French Settlement in India. On arrival check in at the hotel. Visit Aurobindo Ashram, Matrimandir in the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.
Later leave Pondicherry by surface for Tanjore. En route visit Chidambaram. On arrival at Tanjore check in at the hotel. Evening visit the imposing Brihadeswara Temple, Tanjore palace and Veena making centre. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Later drive to Madurai, the city of the largest living Temple of South India via Trichy . En route visit the Srirangam and Rock Fort Temples at Trichy. On arrival at Madurai check in at hotel. Over night stay at hotel.
In the morning go for a sightseeing tour of Madurai city. Visit the Meenakshi Temple, Thirumalai Nayak Palace, Gandhi Museum. Evening Rikshaw ride through the city. And later watch the Pooja ceremony at the temple.
Later leave for Periyar Sanctuary famous for elephants . On arrival at Periyar check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit spice plantation. Evening boating at the Periyar Lake. Overnight stay at the resort.
Later drive to Kumarakom, a typical Kerala backwater village. At Kumarakom check in at backwater resort for overnight stay. Evening Sun Set cruise on a country boat.. Overnight at the resort.
Full day free at leisure at the resort.
Later in the morning board House Boat for an exciting cruise through the scenic backwaters of Kerala. Cruise through the palm fringed canals, watch the Paddy fields, village folk. Relax on board hearing lullaby of the wind and waves. Overnight on board.
Disembark at Alleppey and proceed to Mararikulam a typical fisher man village with white sanded, palm fringed beach. On arrival check in at the resort and relax.
Day free to relax by the blue sea in the palm fringed white sandy beach. Overnight at the resort.
Later drive to Cochin, the palm green commercial capital of Kerala. On arrival check in at the hotel Afternoon go for the sight seeing tour of the City. Visit the St. Francis Church, the oldest Church of India, Mattancherry Palace, Jewish Synagogue and Chinese Fishing Nets. In the evening watch the spectacular Kathakali show. .Overnight stay at hotel.
Departure transfer to Cochin Airport to board onward flight.
