Heaven for wildlife enthusiasts, Anerdam Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the richest natural wildlife habitats for a variety of aboriginal and endangered animal species and vegetation. Situated in Shirpur Tehsil of Dhule District in Maharashtra, the Anerdam Wildlife Sanctuary boasts a variety of flora and fauna like hiwar, palas, khair, bel, dhawda and babul.

Abode to a number of native and migrant animals like jungle cats, chikaras, hyenas, peafs, corts and jackals, the sanctuary is a Shangri-la for wildlife fanciers. The sanctuary is also home to Monitor Lizards. Anerdam Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the richest sanctuaries in India.

Sprawled over an area of 82.94 sq km. the sanctuary is also residence to exciting bird population. One can spot indigenous birds viz. Hammers, eagles, quails, owls, corts and cormorants. If you are lucky enough, you will also get a glimpse of migratory birds like stokes, Brahming ducks and cranes.

You can also visit some of the places nearby namely Daulatabad Fort, Ellora Caves, Panchakki and Jayakwadi Bird Sanctuary.

Road: Aurangabad has excellent road conditions. Private and state transport buses are available to tour the city and major attractions. Luxury buses from Mumbai to Aurangabad are also available to tour the city.

Railway: Naradana Railway Station (about 40 km.) is the nearest station to reach Aurangabad. Daily trains from Hyderabad, Delhi, and Mumbai are available. Taxis and buses are available from the station to reach your destination.

Airway: Aurangabad Airport (about 210 km.) is the nearest airport to reach the city. The town is connected by daily flights from Mumbai and Delhi. Taxis and auto rickshaws are the two options outside the airport.
