Day by Day itineraryDay 1: Arrival at the Madurai Airport/Railway Station

Rameshwaram tour begins from Madurai as we pick you from the city’s international airport or railway station and transfer you to the hotel booked at Madurai.

Among the pilgrimage cities, Madurai holds a special place due to its architectural resplendence and rich culture and is therefore popularly called the Athens of the East. The city is situated on the banks of the River Vaigai and is built around the famous Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple in the form of a lotus.

Rameshwaram tour package begins with the visit to the splendid and majestic Meenakshi Amman Temple. 

Day 2: Local Sightseeing of the City of Madurai

After a wholesome breakfast, join us for the local sight seeing of the revered city Madurai, popularly known as the temple city, jasmine town or the sleepless city.

Day 3: Madurai to Rameshwaram (175 km; 04 hour drive)

After a wholesome breakfast at the Madurai hotel, check out of the hotel and drive to Rameshwaram.

This is an island situated at the tip of the Indian peninsula in the Gulf of Mannar. This place is a prime pilgrimage centre for the Hindus and has mythological significance. It is believed that Lord Rama had built a bridge or setu (Adam's Bridge) here to rescue his wife Sita from her abductor.

The reigning deity here is the Linga of Sri Ranganatha, which is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of India. Check in at the hotel booked in Rameshwaram and relax. Later, join us for the sightseeing of this holy city.

Day 4: Rameshwaram to Kanyakumari (250 km; 06 hour drive)

After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, drive to Kanyakumari and on arrival check into the hotel at Kanyakumari. Join us for sightseeing in the afternoon, which includes temples, memorials palaces and so on.Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5: Kanyakumari to Trivandrum (100 km; 3 hour drive)

After checking out from the hotel at Kanyakumari, drive to the last destination of the Rameshwaram tour, that is Trivandrum.

On the way, the Padmanabhaswamy Temple is visited. This is an intricately carved, lavish temple and is a must see.

  Thanks to Waytoindia for 10 day in Rajasthan- Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Mount Abu and Ahmedabad. Everything from pickup from Jaipur airport to drop at Ahmedabad airport was very smooth. The hotels booked in Jaipur and Udaipur were amazing. In Jaisalmer the camel ride and Jeep safari though a bit expensive was a good experience. The car and the driver for the entire 10 days was very good. Thanks to the driver Mahesh, who drove the 2 ladies for the entire 10 days safely and dropped us in time for the return flight to Bangalore.
