Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, is the most visited tourist attraction in Agra. Hundreds of national and international tourists visit this historical monument every day.

Taj Mahal was built by the Mughal Emperor, 'Shah Jahan', in memory of his beloved wife, 'Mumtaz Mahal'. That is the reason why this monument is also regarded as the symbol of eternal love all across the world. Taj Mahal is an architectural wonder and has been listed in the UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Fatehpur Sikri is also a World Heritage Site and is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Agra. It was a walled city built by the famous Mughal Emperor, Akbar. It was the first planned city built under the rule of Mughals and houses some of the most incredible monuments built in Persian and Mughal architectural style.

Another World Heritage Site in Agra is the Agra Fort. It is also known as the Red Fort of Agra because it is entirely made up of Red Sandstone. This fort is basically a walled city and is located near Taj Mahal. Shah Jahan was trapped by his son Aurangzeb and was kept as a prisoner in this fort for around 8 years where he ultimately died. The body of Shah Jahan was then buried in Taj Mahal.
