Famous as close replica of England’s Windsor Palace, Bengaluru Palace has served as the resident of Mysore royal family for many years. Gothic style stained windows and interior walls decorated with beautiful paintings are the palace’s highlights. Wood carvings and turrets add to the structure’s worth. Other attractions include Durbar Hall with massive elephant head and the attractive garden areas.

Tipu Sultan’s Palace

Located within the city’s fort is Tipu Sultan’s Fort which is known for its teakwood construction. The palace served as the summer resident to Sultan flaunts Islamic architectural style and has highlights in the form of amazingly built arches and balconies.

Cubbon Park
Cubbon Park

Ruled by serenity and greenery, Cubbon Park is one of the most-visited attractions in the Garden City of Bangalore. Ornamental plants and trees and striking flowerbeds add to the landscape beauty of the park. The park also hosts a number of important buildings and memorials like Karnataka High Court (called Attara Kacheri), State Archaeological Museum, Seshadari Iyer Memorial, Aquarium and Queen Victoria statue.

The botanical garden is among the prime attractions for accommodating huge variety of tropical plants and a distinctive glasshouse. Kempegowda Tower, erected in the memory of Bangalore founder, is a charismatic structure inside the park. Other features of the park include the centuries old Lal Bagh Rock, an aquarium and a beautiful lake.

Bull Temple
Bull Temple

Built in the world-famous Dravidian architecture, the temple is dedicated to Nandi Bull and features a gigantic idol of the bull (believed to be Lord Shiva’s vehicle). The statue is believed to have been carved out from a single granite rock. Bengaluru has many other must-visit temples that include ISKCON Hare Krishna Temple, Sri Gavi Temple, Maruthi Temple and Shiva Temple featuring colossal monolithic statue of Lord Shiva.

St. Mary’s Basilica

The gothic-style basilica attracts visitors due to its striking architectural features like towers, tall spires and pointed arches. The stained glass windows of the structure are believed to have been imported from Paris. Holy Trinity Church and St. Mark’s Cathedral are other similar attractions in Bangalore.

Ulsoor Lake

The 1.5 sq. km. long Ulsoor Lake has a number of small islands adding to its beauty. The visitors can enjoy boating or strolling across the peaceful banks. Many religious buildings like Gurudwara Sri Singh Sabha and Someshwara Temple are located near the lake.
