The prime tourist site of the city, this temple derives its name from Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath. It is said that he meditated here during the Treta Yug. The architecture of the temple underwent changes many times. Some must see parts of this temple are Garbh Griha, Charan Paduka and Mansarovar Pond. Khichari Mela held here in January is one of the major attractions of Gorakhpur.

This 18th century dargah is situated near Gorakhpur Railway Station. Built by Roshan Ali Shah, a Sufi saint, this imambara has a ‘dhunj’ or smoke fire.

This therapeutic temple in Gorakhpur offers packages for body and mind therapies. Frequent 10 day camps are held by this group, where 20 participants are allowed to learn the best of yogic and Ayurvedic therapies.

This site has a beautiful temple of Radha and Krishna and devotees sing all day long the prayers for Radha and Krishna. 

This Lake is known to be a heritage site in Gorakhpur that covers an area of 723 hectares and the embankment is around 18 km. long. Tourists come here to enjoy boating facilities.
