Popular for the lush green mangrove stretch, the second largest of its kind in the whole country. Apart from over 24 species of mangroves, the sanctuary is home to sea turtles, otters, crocodiles, golden jackal and other wild animals. The most fascinating attraction here is the population of beautiful birds like white-backed vulture, long billed vulture, painted stork, ferruginous pochard, spot billed pelican and many more.

The very charming Godavari Delta with heavenly beauty, Konaseema is adorned with rows of coconut trees and miles long fields of paddy and cashews. The lighthouse in the middle of mangrove forests is one of the must visit places at Kakinada and one can watch some exotic birds here.

Located only few miles from the main city, the temples of Lord Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy is a popular pilgrimage site. Located atop the hills, the temple is accessible via an amusing trekking path and represents the outstanding chariot temple architecture.
