World’s largest salt desert, it is famous for turning into mudflats during monsoons and becoming snow white after the water dries up. Apart from changing its shades, the place also engages one with its wildlife consisting of wild asses, nilgai, wild boar, jackal, flamingos and hundreds of migratory birds. 


Little Rann of Kutch

Just like the Great Rann of Kutch, this salt marsh is also known for changing hues with sunset and sunrise. Also, it is the home to the world’s largest population of Indian Wild Asses (including Khur) and other wild animals like desert fox and Indian wolf. The place is a paradise for bird-watchers, as it attracts hundred of domestic and migratory birds.


Banni Grasslands

Dotted with marshy wetlands, it has magnificent natural beauty, enhanced by the presence of migratory birds like waterfowls, waders, storks, cranes and spoonbills and wild species like blackbuck, golden jackal, caracal and others.
