The Buddhist monastery or gompa is among the must visit places at Lachung. With a river bank in the close proximity and surrounded by apple orchards, the monastery can keep one entertained for many hours. While there are lofty mountain peaks serving as the background, the interiors of the monastery has interesting murals. Visiting the site during the annual mask dance festival is one experience that can be cherished for long.

A mesmerizing natural park located near to the town, this sanctuary is home to nearly 40 species of rhododendrons that adorn the region with unprecedented beauty and splendour. One can sit and admire the landscape of this place for many hours.

Popularly called the Switzerland of Sikkim, Mount Katao boasts of heavenly beauty as it remains covered with white sheet of snow. Tourists can climb or drive to the hill and indulge into snow activities. It is worth mentioning that only Indian tourist can visit this place.
