Neugal Khad

This picturesque location also called as Bundla Chasm is located around 2 km. from the town and is a popular picnic spot. The gurgling stream of 300 m. width and the backdrop of the Dhauladhar ranges serve as the main attraction of Palampur here. 

Chamunda Devi Temple
Chamunda Devi Temple

This temple is one among the 51 Shakti Peethas and located close to Palampur.  It is dedicated to Goddesses Durga or Chamunda and is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, dense forests and rivers. The kund within the temple premises has sacred water. There is also a library, Ayurvedic dispensary and Sanskrit college near the temple.

This is one amongst the must visit places at Palampur. Located at the western fringe of the town, this temple is an architectural marvel with pyramidal roof and a beautiful mandapa. Lord Shiva is worshipped here in the Vaidhyanatha form. The temple is set amidst extreme solitude and is ideal for meditation and relaxation. 

Tashi Jong Monastery
Tashi Jong Monastery

More than a monastery, this is a community comprising a group of Tibetan refugees. The monastery is very beautiful with red and golden colour ornamentation, prayer flags along the way and curved roofs. A Buddhist shrine is sited atop a platform at the far end of a garden. Tourists also visit this place for the Tibetan craft emporium selling exquisite Tibetan items.
