Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary
The must visit places at Yumthang Valley include this sanctuary where numerous rhododendron varieties blossom along with many other forms of flora. Wildlife species like tiger civet and birds like blood pheasant can also be explored here, though the most fascinating aspect is the orchids of colourful flowers covering the area. Primulas, iris and poppies are among other equally charming varieties of flowers that grow here.
