The nearest airport to reach Govind ghat is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. It is situated at a distance of approximately 292 km. If you are coming by train, you can come from Rishikesh railway station which is about 273 km. away. If you are traveling by road, you can come from Joshimath (via NH 58) which is 22 km. away. After reaching Govind ghat, get in touch with our team. You then proceed to the hotel. Take overnight rest at the hotel.

The very first destination of the trek is Govind ghat. Arrive at Govind ghat by yourself and from there, our team will join you. Govind ghat is located in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. The nearest airport to reach Govind ghat is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. It is situated at a distance of approximately 292 km. If you are coming by train, you can come from Rishikesh railway station which is about 273 km. away. If you are traveling by road, you can come from Joshimath (via NH 58) which is 22 km. away. After reaching Govind ghat, get in touch with our team. You then proceed to the hotel. Take overnight rest at the hotel.
Enjoy hot breakfast in the divine vicinity of Himalayas before we move ahead to Thaing village. It is located in Chamoli district near Joshimath town. We drive for 15 km. to reach our trekking spot. Enjoy the beautiful drive on the way along river Alaknanda. Once we reach the spot, gear up for a 7 km. trek. Thaing village is surrounded by spectacular mountain valleys and scenic view. You are definitely going to find eternal peace at this beautiful place. It is secluded from all sorts of commercialization. The village is very small and there are not many houses. But one specialty of the place is that the houses are traditionally stone made. Trek involves an upward climb through the sloppy meadows. Feel the soft breeze and mild floral fragrance all around the trekking path.Trekkers come here to experience the Himalayas foothills. After reaching the trek spot, enjoy the overnight stay or a typical homestay in the village with Garhwali family. Meet the local people, share a meal with your host and learn more about the place, their culture by experiencing them first-hand.
After a relaxing stay, have breakfast and move for Chenap Valley trek. It is 6 km. beautiful stretch towards the Chenap Valley. The valley has breathtaking views of extensive meadows covered with colorful flower bed. Trekkers pass through remote villages, dense forests and lush grasslands. If you are a true nature lover, this trek is a must do for you. Trek goes by a gentle climb. While trekking we come across Dum Dum Pata, it is a sloppy meadow where villagers graze their cattle. Moving ahead, we come to Dhar Khark. We stop here for some refreshments and rest. As we move further, we cross a huge and dense forest with pine, oak and deodar trees. You can also enjoy beautiful springs while trekking. This place is 4 km. from Chenap Valley. From the height, you can see top peaks of Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve. Stay overnight in the camp and feel the beauty of nature.
Day 4 is the best day of your Chenap Valley trek. Post breakfast, we move to Phulana, which is a paradise on this valley. This is an unexplored valley filled with enigmatic flowers. You can see a wide range of flowers like marigold, primulas, orchids, daisies, brahma kamal, anemones, and poppies. You can also witness a variety of alpine flowers like campanula, lati folium, aquanatum, geranium, etc. Not only this, the valley is blessed with ayurvedic medicinal plants like sal, teak, and rhododendron. As per the latest survey, there are total 315 species of flowers present in Phulana. All we can say is this place is wearing a colorful dress, woven by nature which amplifies its beauty. Do not miss to see the gushing waterfalls and small natural caves in the valley. The trekking path is gradual and not very difficult but it is little long. Enjoy the spacious views of the valley with chattering waterfalls and vibrant landscape. After the day long trek, we come back to the camp for overnight stay.
After spending some quality moments in Chenap valley, we trek back to Thaing village. Take pictures along the trek and capture all the lovely memories you have made on this trek. Enjoy the scenic view of velvet flowers bloom. A few kilometers away, you can see Swanu and Nandu mountains. On the way back, you can visit the nearby temples.Ramble over the lush meadows and feel the pleasure of being on this trek. Stay overnight at Thaing village. Do you know?: At this place, Goddess Durga fought the forceful battle with Mahisasur in order to save the life of her son.
We retrace our track back from Thaing village to Govind ghat. Reach the hotel in Govind ghat for dinner and overnight stay.
Have hot breakfast in the hotel and then checkout to proceed for your onward journey.
